Dealing with Derailed Negotiations
·
Is
the delay a one-off hitch in communication? Chronic slowness? Indication of a
wider issue in the partner organization? Maneuvering for an advantage?

emerging pattern requires decisive action and an escalating response If there
is clear evidence of a cultural disconnect or pattern of “dirty tricks”
emanating from the other side, broach the subject with the lead negotiator(s),
preferably alone and definitely in private
